Tips on replacing and installing doors

In the decoration of your home every piece of furniture or supplement is important. Coordinating styles and colors help to achieve a harmony that delights the senses of those who inhabit it. That is why you should not neglect any detail, for example, carpentry plays a very important role within it, the doors.

So if you decide to change the decor of your home and you feel that the doors do not fit into the style chosen, it is best to change them. To avoid increasing the budget on the renovation of the interior of your home, you can replace the model that best suits the decor.

Replace a door (provided they do not modify the frame or trim any DIY enthusiast can):
To remove the old, open and place a wedge underneath the outer corner, releasing the weight of the hinges.
Then slide the door by lifting hard, and this removes the leaves and frame hinges.
Replace the hinges of the frame with long screws that pass through and reach the wall.
Using the old door as a guide, mark on the edge of the new go where the hinges (the plant should always be in the middle of the other two).
With the help of a chisel to get the hinge is flush with the door and secure it with wood screws.
Put back the door.

Install a sliding door (the simplest is a slide outside, and you just have to install a guide way on the door go, and if you want you can add a profile you hide it):
Buy a light board (or two) the size of the hole, and twice as long lane with its supports and the wheels or rollers.
Make a hole in the corners of the upper surface of the door, fit the plate bracket and screws. In less than a channel made for the passage of the guides.
Screw the guide wall and level. Put the wheels and put the caps on the ends.
Screw the guide below ground, in the dead space that is to open fully.
Hang the door and tighten the nuts.
The supports have a height adjustment screw and prevent the door from rubbing on the floor.
