Fall is usually associated with certain decorations, including cornucopias, garlands, wreaths of grape or straw and dried flower arrangements. While many awards and can be purchased actually do ours may be a fun family activity for an afternoon of autumn.
On the horn of plenty, which means a bumper crop, with many foods, we need the traditional horn-shaped basket (available at craft stores or most of the racks), varnish or paint, real fruit and vegetables pineapple and dried or artificial plants. The paint or varnish from the basket before you start, and leave enough time to dry before filling with the selected items. Be creative!
Enjoy the piece. Then in December, we can make a painting decorative Christmas cornucopia of gold or silver with a spray. Fill it with vegetables, berries and cones of different sizes.
Another ornament appropriate for the fall season is the crown of vine or straw. Hops are also very good. Again, found in craft stores. Wrap the wreath with a ribbon to cover the entire surface, or free, to leave the exhibits. Then add the final touch: a rainbow of bright colors, a few sprigs of wheat or whole fruit. Or cover the crown with a variety of dried leaves and flowers. Conifers and other perennials are ideal for this. Cut the leaves and flowers into pieces of 12-15 cm. Working initially with the flowers, spacing them at random by the crown. Then fill with small flowers, tucking in ends securely. For the feeling of being larger, guiding the flowers in different directions.
If the dried flowers in the garden of our house this year and we bought a few, grouped in classes with the pods, cones of candles to make some arrangements attractions months. Or you can buy fresh flowers such as chrysanthemums, carnations, lilies, alstroemeria (Peruvian lily) or pink table traditional autumn colors like yellow, orange, brown and bronze.
To achieve a vintage festive touch, decorate the mantle or door front with a crown of dried roses or other large flowers. We will have to hard wire with cotton tapestry needle, dried flowers and beads and ribbons. Use the wire connecting the two flowers from the flower stem. We love beads scattered among the flowers alternating with small loops. Or you can simply add a tassel or loop big game at the end of the cup.
dried hydrangea flowers also bring a beautiful crown. Use florist wire to attach securely to a rope, like that used to hold curtains. Add loops or colored Christmas balls. Or connect the wheat plants that adorn the stems, so that everyone has the same length. Add oranges or pools of dried flowers. This ring is particularly suitable for exterior decoration.
Of course, you could also use more traditional fall decorations like pumpkins, for example, or ears tied with a rope and hung on the door. But everything we do we give our personal touch is what will make the final product is a work of art for us.
